Louis Jadot - Bâtard-Montrachet - Grand Cru
Louis Jadot is a renowned Burgundy producer, established in 1859 by Louis Henry Denis Jadot. The winery is renowned for its high-quality wines, and the Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru is no exception. This white wine is made from Chardonnay grapes grown in the Grand Cru vineyards of Bâtard-Montrachet, located in the Côte de Beaune region of Burgundy. The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully sorted before being vinified in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged in oak barrels for 12 to 18 months, allowing it to develop its complex aromas and flavors.
The result is a full-bodied, elegant white wine with aromas of ripe stone fruits, citrus, and white flowers, and flavors of honey, toast, and hazelnuts. The wine has a long, lingering finish, making it an excellent accompaniment to seafood, poultry, and creamy cheeses.
